✦ Membership
Belong to the family.
“God has combined the members of the body… that its parts should have equal concern for each other.” (1 Cor 12:24) Belonging is a decision.

Why membership
More than a name on a list.
Covenant community
Membership identifies the family of believers who can be counted on — a reaffirmed commitment to God, to this church, and to one another.
Commitment to serve
The difference between attending and belonging is one word: commitment — giving your time, talents, and treasures to the life of your church.
With you in life's milestones
A certified membership stands with you through marriage, child dedication, education, funerals, and emergencies — and the family stands with you too.
How it works
Attend the Membership Class
Fill in the interest form and attend the class — it walks through what Bethel believes, how we're led, and what belonging means. Schedules are announced by the church office.
Meet the criteria
A born-again testimony, believer's baptism by immersion, acceptance of the Tenets of Faith, and at least six months of regular attendance.
Be received as a member
After the class and a conversation with a pastor, you are welcomed into the membership of the church family.
Questions
What membership asks of you.
At Bethel we believe in Jesus, and as a church we commit to learn the Word of God, worship Him, follow His teaching, and fellowship and grow with other members.

- Acceptance of the Tenets of Faith.

What does it mean to be a member?
The difference between attending a church and being its member can be summed up in one word: commitment, a commitment to serve.
The more like Christ you are willing to become, the more you will be committed to serve. Being like Christ means you will be more faithful to your commitment and service to God through the church.
Church membership identifies our family of believers who can be counted on in our attempt to fulfil God's purpose in our lives.
